Awards for All

On 24th April 2009 it was announced by Awards for All, the National Lottery programme, that the Club had been awarded a grant towards first year start up costs for a completely new table tennis club to be located in the Village Hall, Humshagh.

A major part of the development strategy of Humshaugh Table Tennis Club is to give an opportunity to people of all ages (over10 years) to play table tennis and this award is crucial in helping the Club towards achieving this aim.

Humshaugh Table Tennis Club will initially meet most Thursdays (Exact dates to be posted on this website) at the Village Hall, Humshaugh.

All adults and Children from the age of 10 years are welcome and we are planning to have coaching available.

The grant will be used to purchase new tables, bats, a plentiful supply of balls, a training robot; to pay the first year’s overheads and some training.

The invitation to come and play extends not only to those living in Humshaugh but also to those in the many neighbouring towns and villages including Hexham.
